Icosa: In Sweet Music

Directed by Luke Mather

Join Icosa in Guildford for a wonderful evening of choral music on 21st July! Icosa have been performing new music by British composers since they began three years ago. The choir has now amassed performances of over 50 new pieces from over 40 composers. This concert is a way of celebrating the composers we have worked with and the gems we have discovered.

Robert Cooper's Orpheus Lute is a Grand 8-part setting of two Shakespeare texts, Sheena Phillips' River Song takes listeners on an aural journey down the Missouri river and Steven Calver's new arrangement of Bjork's Hyperballad is a beautiful premiere that is not to be missed. Icosa is dedicated to gender equality in the composers we work with and so there will be, as always, an equal balance of Male and Female composers in this concert. Other well-known names such as Gibbons and Tallis will feature as well.

We hope you can join us for this exciting concert of wonderful new choral music!
